KOMEN WALK FOR A CURE
I DID IT WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS.
I had never participated in the Komen Walk before but I needed to celebrate my birthday in a meaningful way. If you have reviewed this website you already know my history with breast cancer and my decision for reconstruction. My friends and even those who could not be with me that day gave warm words of support for this special day. I walked for those who are no longer with us, I walked for those women left alone after their news of "I'm sorry you have breast cancer", I walked for Paul who stayed by my side for 18 years..I walked for me.
WE WILL FIND WHY ONE DAY BUT UNTIL THEN WE MUST REACH OUT AND EDUCATE EACH ONE THAT COMES IN OUR LIFE CIRCLE ON BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Annie and Tiffany are just a few of my friends that stood by my side.
Paula Francis, Eyewitness News Channel 8 Las Vegas has been a supporter of my efforts to educate women on breast cancer awareness.
Deborah Stephenson, Outreach Coordinator for Area Health Education Center of Southern Nevada, Me and Stacey Rapp, Community Program Manager of the Komen Las Vegas Affilate.
A DAY TO REMEMBER
TO SEE A WALL OF PEOPLE WALKING FOR A CURE TOUCHED MANY.
