SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
We have many worthy programs that need your support. We accept cash, checks, mastercard, visa, and in-kind donations. Just call or contact us by email and we'll send you a sponsorship packet with detailed information or you can make a donation at www.firstgiving.com/CourageUnlimitedInc
ESSENCE OF BEAUTY UPBEAT RETREAT: Our annual retreat and conference that brings together a diverse group of participants from survivors to medical practitioners to share information and education while providing an atmosphere of rest and relaxation.
ESSENCE OF BEAUTY MAGAZINE & NEWSLETTER: The magazine, a tribute to survivorship, is usually published bi-annually. It features stories of survival, articles and/or poems from friends and families of survivors, recent medical news, and resource information. The newsletter is published every other month and provides updates on Courage Unlimited's activities. These tools are used for distribution at health fairs, hospitals and community events.
GIFT OF HOPE PROGRAM: Launched in November, 2002, this program promotes AIDS and cancer awareness and supports survivors by encouraging them not to give up on their fight. Baskets containing all sorts of goodies and educational materials are delivered to newly diagnosed survivors throughout the year and to hospitals and support agencies during the holiday season.
HIPP (HIV IMPACT AND PREVENTION PROJECT): This project is in its implementation stage. It represents a science-based approach to HIV intervention and prevention aimed at both youth and adults. Its major objective is to train peer educators in the prisons, detention centers, and faith-based organizations in prevention and intervention techniques. The ultimate goal is to reduce HIV transmission among high-risk groups.
OUR WEB SITE: This site is in its infancy and needs to be nurtured by donations so it can become a major source of information and encouragement for survivors, their families and friends, and community advocates and organizations.
